Nancy O'Dell's broadcast career began as a journalist and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle beach, South Carolina. Later, she was a morning news anchor for WCBD TV and also as an investigative reporter. O'Dell's articles in Charleston on how Charleston police acted in DUI cases in a manner that was lenient, led to an inquiry by State Law Enforcement Division. The inquiry led to a stronger directive for state authorities. According to the Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the year Award to the entire South Carolina media. O'Dell has worked in Charleston reporting, was a anchor at the NBC Miami WTVJ-TV station prior to moving into Access Hollywood where she is an anchor and reporter during weekends. O'Dell, in addition to anchoring the main show for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. The anchor has hosted a number of Pre-ShowArrivals programs to The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. Co-hosted also for the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
